Hey! This is my first set from polyvore, just testing the water. I've been wanting to explore polyvore since I heard it from a friend a long time ago. It is fun and interesting only that it is sooo time-consuming and I don't want to waste much of my time out of it. but at least , my curiosity is now satisfied... :)

Back in HK

Last May 7-13 2011, I got to visit HK again for the second time, together with some of my cousins and in-laws. In case you read my blog a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned how worried i was about going to Hongkong for almost a week without my kids with me. But thank god, I have my auntie who was willing to take care of my kids while I'm away, Thanks, Auntie Lils! :)

Here are some of the photos:

love my new shades :)

behind us is the hotel, where we stayed. love the location, at the center of nathan road where shops and malls are just a few steps away.

the cable car ride with my cousin and pamangkins :)

fun and exciting

at Madame Tussauds. yes, I am the new president

Marilyn Monroe. speaking of, i have a fave quote from her:
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."
— Marilyn Monroe

hugging David Beckham! :)

The trip was fun, imagine we were fifteen. Group trip is always fun. The only downside is that you have to wait to one another all the time, like when someone is going to buy something; we have to wait for him/her before we could go to the next place/destination. nonetheless, It was a good experience; I got to explore HK more, especially that we really intended not to ride any taxi(unlike my last trip there) instead we used the bus, train, and our feet; by that way we saved a lot of money. :)

wait for my next post, our trip to macau and my top 5 cute finds i bought in HK. :)

xoxo! :)

Mineral Powders Review

Hi guys, This is my first time writing a review for anything and I promise to be honest on this and to all my upcoming reviews.(in case there will be. hahaha)

Mineral makeup seems like the newest fad when it comes to makeup products. So me, as a self confessed makeup buff got curious about  it.

It is said that mineral makeups are pure, no talc, or other chemically driven creations. It allows your skin to breathe and give essential vitamins for good skin health. Since I have a super sensitive skin, I got convinced that I should try these makeup products. Hoping that what is said is true and not just another gimmick.

Here are the two products i bought:

The body shop's nature's mineral powder in 00 shade. What i liked about it is that it has sifter and spf 25. The color is just right for me and it blends easily on my face. The coverage is quite light which is actually good for everyday use but if you're going to use it on a special occasion then i advise you not to use this.

Avon's smooth mineral in pink ivory. I don't really like this one because it gets cakey when not properly blended and the shade i bought is too light for me. It made me look so pale, I guess that's the disadvantage when you buy something from a brochure. The only thing i liked about this is that it covers well on my face, i can barely see my pores. I just wish I bought the right shade though.

Over all, I still have to find the perfect mineral powder match for me. Any suggestions, please? But i'm happy that mineral makeups are really good for my sensitive skin, so far no rashes, allergies or anything. And of course, when using mineral powders don't forget to blend it properly in a circular motion using a very good brush.

xoxo! :)

I love chick flicks, how about you?

When I was a kid, watching movies every weekend was one thing I always look forward to. We go to the mall immediately after dinner to catch the last full show. Most of the time, my parents would watch a different movie from us (with my siblings), for the obvious reason that only became apparent to me when I was ten years old. So, coming from this family, I knew watching movies is something we all love to do.

As I grow up, chick flick becomes my favorite among all movie genres. Well, as expected to what chick flick movies are designed for, the female audience. But I won’t be surprised seeing a man watching those, for chick flicks are really fun and wonderful to watch, well, at least most of it. From Notting Hill, 10 things I hate about you, Wedding Singer, Love Actually, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Bridget Jones’ Diary, She’s all that, to He’s not just into you, 50 first date, Sex and the City, 500 Days of summer and the list goes on.

Recently, I just watched a movie entitled Something Borrowed. The story is definitely not ideal realistically but how the movie was made is perfect. All of the actor and actresses were brilliant in their parts, and even the roles flowed seamlessly. I just love how Ginnifer(I am really disturbed on how her name spells, haha) Goodwin and Kate Hudson played their roles as Rachel and Darcy respectively.

Darcy and Rachel

So to top it off, Something Borrowed is officially added to my list of chick flick favorites.

oh btw, the movie is from this novel by Emily Griffin which unfortunately i haven't read yet.
so ladies, let's keep our fingers crossed for more wonderful movies to come! :) xoxo!
