I'm back and I got an award

I just want to say thank you to dazzler for giving me an award. It feels so great to have an award after not opening my blog for quite a long time. I've been so busy these past few weeks and I feel so guilty for not being able to post. so anyway, let's get down to the rules.
.
The rules are:
1. Link back and thank the person who tagged you.
2. Post seven things about yourself and answer the list of favorite questions.
3. Pass these awards to 15 bloggers.
4. Notify the lucky bloggers who got these awards.

so I guess I'll answer number two first, since I have to think about the 15 bloggers. Hopefully soon when I get some time. :)

7 things about me:

1. I am so in love with my family esp. my two kids.
2. I get nervous easily.
3. I always get hungry.
4. I have this bad habit of biting my nails.
5. I dye my own hair.
6. I am a moody person
7. I always sleep late.

that's it for now. will blog more, soon! :) thanks again to dazzler. :)

Lace, Pearls, and Animal Print

It's been a long time since I updated my chictopia. I don't know I just don't feel like posing in front of the camera these days, since I fell in love in taking pictures of any human interest, my surroundings, or in short photography, that I forgot to have a photo of myself taken. And just this afternoon I was reminded about updating my chictopia.

so here, finally, I had a new photo of me taken. In this outfit, I mixed some of my favorite items in the fashion world - lace, pearls, and animal print.

Cheapy Shoesy

Don't mind the title, just playing with words and I think it does sound funny, doesn't it?  so, hey recently I bought my two definitely the cheapest but nice shoes I ever had. They're cheap because I bought them in Baclaran, despite the horrible MRT experience I had (check it here.) when we went there, I am still happy for the things I bought. It's definitely worth it. haha!

 php 180

look it's denim. php 250

Since I bought them in Baclaran, I wouldn't expect much of the quality. I would probably wear these when I go out that doesn't require much walking. e.g. watch a movie or have merienda. How I wish I could post outfit photos wearing these shoes. Maybe next time! :)

Anyway, Did you know that you could even buy them at lesser price, that is if you buy them in wholesale. Meaning you have to buy at least six pcs. of the same style and color. sayang! pwede na sana if different style and color. But a very good deal for those who have a business. Now, that made me think if I should have one? hhhmmmm.

Dance Like A Ballerina

Tutu is a skirt worn as a costume in a ballet performance, often with attached bodice. But nowadays tutu can be worn as an everyday item and on special occasions. For me, I find tutu really gorgeous and cute.

So here I want to show you the tutu that I made for my daughter. It's actually a "no sew tutu,"  the moment I saw it on youtube, I thought it looks pretty interesting. The fact that it doesn't need sewing, I decided to make one for my daughter.

I chose the colors Pink, Blue, and White.

She loves it. She asked me if she looks more like a fairy or ballerina.

Here's the youtube vid where I got the idea from, In case you might want to make one. I swear it's pretty simple and fun.

Oh by the way, I already got a new camera, remember how pissed I was when my smartphone got stolen and and at the same time my digicam got broken too? so now, a one big YAY! for me. It's a Nikon D3100 and so far, I'm lovin it. I hope it will stay with me for a long time. :) cam, please stay with me,okay?

My sab taking a photo of herself. cool! :)

My MRT experience

The other day my sisters-in-law and I went to Baclaran, my second time to go there, the first was like years ago. We decided to go early in the morning around 6 am so that it wouldn't be that hot, unlike during the afternoons. It was Monday, and my first time to ride on a MRT that early. At first I was quite excited because it would be like an adventure for us, since we were all new to buying wholesale stuff at Baclaran. Well my sister-in-law by the way, will open a shop that's why we went there to look for something she could sell. sounds exciting right? and me on a motive of hitching some blouses to add on her business stuff and pay for the wholesale price. great!

Anyway, I'm not here to talk about what happened to us in Baclaran but I'm here to talk about what happened before we arrived Baclaran. The excitement totally dropped zero when we arrived the MRT North station. It was jam-packed with people. The lines are sooo damn long. I got really disappointed because MRT, I thought is a convenient mode of transportation. I felt really bad especially for the people who ride the train everyday like the students who go to school, and the workers who go to the office, and etc. I thought it would really take so much of their time and energy. My experience wasn't only physically stressful but also mentally.

Stressful because of some reasons which I personally observed/experienced during the entire trip:

1. People were pushing one another during the train stop just to get ahead of others, as in pushing that would literally hurt you.
2. And since people were pushing one another, some got really mad like the lady I heard shouting "wala na, hindi na kasya." and another lady, "ano ba, huwag mo ko itulak."
3. Once I got into the train, I felt we were packed like in a can of sardines. It was seriously full and crowded.
4. During the train stop people were rushing to go out of the train, at the same time others wanted to get in. the result? funny squeezed faces esp. the people who were in the middle of those two opposing bodies. sigh. wrong, not funny at all.
5.  A girl sitting right in front of a pregnant woman. (seriously? what are you? please be considerate naman.)
6. I heard some music coming from the two ladies on my left and the other one at my back whom were listening to pop and rock music through their headsets respectively. That's how loud their music or maybe that's how siksikan we were.
7.  I saw lesbian lovers doing PDA. sorry, but I don't think it's appropriate and comfortable for other people to see, including me! or is it just me?
8. It was hard standing that long, I got to sit like we were already at Ayala station. I'm the kind of person who would rather walk than stand for a long time.

So to all the workers and students who ride the MRT everyday, I salute you! you guys are really inspiring because you are all willing to make that sacrifice just to finish school or to make money for living.

To the government, please act for a quick solution for that.

And to all the MRT riders, can you just please learn how to follow basic and simple rules.

*too bad I wasn't able to take photos of it. :(

Composer at the Age of Four

At the age of 4, my baby girl can now compose songs.

she has two versions, one for the morning and one for the evening, both of which sounded like the song twinkle twinkle little star.

morning song:

Baby baby, wake up now.
Go downstairs and eat your food.
and go to the bathroom and take a bath.
brush your teeth and put on some clothes.
that's what we do in the morning.

evening song:

Baby baby, go to sleep.
close your eyes and zip your mouth.
insert your t-shirt and pray to God.
say I love you to mommy and daddy and to baby brother too.
that's what we do in the night.

cute and funny, isn't she? so proud of her.

love you baby. :)

What is your favorite color?

When people ask me what is my favorite color, I pause. I pause precisely because I don't know what my favorite is. I'm not a person that has a particular favorite especially when it comes to color. well, except from what my family is insisting me that when I was a kid, yellow was my favorite color which honestly, I don't even remember. But okay for the sake of peace and quiet, I accepted it.  I mean it's not that I don't like colors in fact the reason why I don't know it is because they're all great. I love all of them. How can you not love them?  I know a lot of people who have one particular favorite for the most of their lives, and I think it's amazing.

Anywhoo, The only thing I could answer is that I have a choice and it changes from time to time, like a flavor of the month. And right now I'm eyeing the color Marigold. I like it because it is not that loud as a neon yellow/orange and that it has a touch of pastel.

Isn't it nice? Do you think this could be my favorite color? If I pass a year or so with this still as my choice, I'll consider it as my first ever fave(well okay, second considering the yellow from childhood, hehe) and I'll let you guys know. :)

I need a new camera

so pissed. YEAH. I'm still mad and sad. My phone that I usually use for taking photos was stolen. As much as possible I don't want to post something negative here but I have to shout this out especially that it is my fifth time to have something stolen from me. yes 5th damn time! just a reminder that snatchers are everywhere. literally everywhere, they would even dress like they don't look like one. They would wear something decent and elegant, so you have to be very careful and mindful of your things all the time.
Aside from that, my son broke my digicam while he was taking pictures. The LCD isn't functioning anymore that it'll be too costly for me to have it repaired. As they say it'll be better to buy a new one. sigh. It is also my favorite, we have another one but it doesn't take pictures as good as my broken digicam. :(

Anyway, On the lighter note I'm still thankful that nothing bad happened to me. (Alhamdulillah) I'm just praying that it'll be the last.

now, I have to buy a new one. any suggestions for a good digital camera? the one that is not expensive if there is please. thank you! :)

After Exam Break

I went out with my cousin in-law? honestly, how do you call someone whom is married to your husband's cousin? well anyway I like to refer to her as a good friend, her name is Juhanisa or Joh for short. Since Joh and I are so close in age, we have many of the same interests.  Take it from the fact that we're both young mommies, she also have a boy and girl toddlers.  So I texted her If she could accompany me to go outside after my exam; you know just to relieve some stress and fortunately she said yes. That's what I like about her, she is always available. hahaha. No seriously thank you for always being there.

We went to Greenbelt, Glorietta, SM makati, and Trinoma. yes four malls in one day.

us

She wears her veil perfectly.

Whoops blouse/Folded and Hung pants

Forever 21 belt/ bag from HK/ Cole Vintage Brogues

that's it! I enjoyed the day hoping I passed the exam though. :)

When kids talk

I made this blog with the intention of sharing girly things like fashion, beauty and make-up. But eventually I feel like I also have to verbalize about my personal, daily, thoughts and sentiments.  So with the desire of being organized; I made a new blog separating my girly passion from the more personal ones. After posting two entries; I got tired and lazy, in short I failed.  I can’t maintain two blogs especially I am very particular about the design, template and so on.  So here I am turning my blog into a hodgepodge of random thoughts, exemplifying my indecisiveness.  I just hope that my blog will still be worthy and not as to what I fear to be – dull and boring.

So let me get started…

You may be thinking right now that my title has nothing to do nor irrelevant to what I just said; well, It is in fact the literary meaning of what this post will be about.  When kids talk. When my kids talk. If it happens that you don’t know that I already have two kids at such a very young age, then don’t get shock nor get me wrong.  I am twenty three years old and yes, I already have a four year old daughter, and a three year old son. It may be too early but it is my fate and I am proud, happy about it.

As we all know that being a mom no matter what age you are isn’t easy. If you’re a mom or you care and have observed what your mommy does then you’ll probably know what I mean.  It is no way an easy task. It is a lifetime duty.  A 24-hour job that you are willing to sacrifice all the time you have; just to comply with your child's needs and sometimes his/her wants.  No, you cannot give all the things he/she wants. It is limitless and not the ideal way to raise a child even if you’re the richest person in the world.  However, on the contrary, being a mom is proven to be the most fulfilling, wonderful, inexplicable feeling a person could ever have.

Unbelievable sights, indescribable feeling, Soaring, Tumbling, freewheeling through an endless diamond sky. - suddenly remembered the song from the movie, Alladin.

So before I talk about a lot of things and change topic, I’ll now share you some of the simple, ordinary yet momentous conversations/communications of my kids that always put a smile on my face every time I think of it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

My mom called and said that my dad is coming to Manila in two weeks. She talked to my baby boy.

Mom: baby boy, what do you want for pasalubong?
Baby boy: I want ben-10.
Mom: ahh okay, ben-10 lang pala.
Baby boy: yes, ben-10, ben-10 na laptop.

*then we all laughed thinking that where the hell are we going to find a ben-10 laptop and if in case there is how big it would cost my mom to buy that. – Kids nowadays are really hi-tech.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Sabiyah came to me, asking some questions. while I, busy browsing the internet didn’t notice that she has already repeated her question a lot of times and still no answer from me.  My baby boy who was about a meter away from us heard his sister and with an angry face approached me and said, “Mommy, pakinggan mo naman si ate sabiyah, kawawa naman.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before we go to sleep they never to fail say “I love you always” to me and their dad.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Sabiyah now goes to school; she is in kindergarten (Casa Jr. 2). One afternoon when she was about to leave the house my baby boy was busy watching Playhouse Disney (their fave channel) and didn’t notice that his sister just left. After a short while…

Baby boy: mommy, where’s ate sabiyah?
Me: she just left. Why?
Ignoring my question, he ran fast to see if sabiyah still outside the house.Luckily, she was at the gate still waiting for her ride.
Baby boy: *shouting* ate sabiyah, hindi ka naka-kiss.
Sabiyah:  ay, I forgot.
she kissed him on the cheek.
Baby boy: cge, ingat.

Then they both waved their hands.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The innumerable compliments I receive every time I wear something nice, cook something delicious,  etc.
example:
kids: mommy, you look pretty. / wow! yummy naman.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and a lot lot more. Everyday is a wonderful experience with my kids. :)

Hide Flaws Hide

hey! :) sorry I've been so lazy lately. I just don't feel like taking pictures for my blog, nor typing to share what I have in mind. Maybe because of the rainy season informing that summer has been officially over for more than a week now, which is kinda sad. I created this post just to feel less guilty for not making a new blog entry. Really, I don't have any idea right now on what to say. So, I decided to browse my pictures on my laptop to help me decide on what to post, then I saw a photo of my make-up palette that I ordered online. Forgot that I took a picture of it, I have it for a month now, so I guess it wouldn't hurt if I share it with you guys. Better late than never.

I received the package the next day after I ordered it. cool, isn't it?

as you can see, the packaging was safely secured.

sorry, I have to copy the photo from their website since I want to  emphasize the real colors of it and I  just can't because I have a poor camera. :( planning to buy a new one, though. yay! :)

It is actually a corrector/concealer/contour palette, yes, all in one. I became addicted to concealers since I had my on and off allergies/rashes, two or three years ago, if I'm not mistaken.  I usually have it on my face, especially under my eye. How awful and tragic, like on my FACE!  Anyway, this palette is actually good it hides my flaws instantly when it comes to concealing and correcting, but what I don't like about it is that it fades away quickly.  So disappointing, I expected them to stay long like what it should be. Really,  how am I supposed to retouch?  Do you expect me to bring the whole huge palette with me?  lol! What is interesting about this is the contour pan on the bottom right as you can see on this palette. It surprisingly, works! I thought it's way too dark for me but it blends really well like magic.

I am also thankful to the seller, she's so kind and accomodating. It's my second time to order a make-up from her, the first one is an eye shadow and blush palette. similar to coastal scent, I guess.

I really love this palette, that's all I can say.
guys, any suggestion about a really good concealer? and please help find a nice product that will effectively lessen my dark under eye circles and for my wrinkles. I know it's too early for me to have wrinkles but believe me I already have it. :( I got it from scratching and rubbing my eyes and eye area too much that my thin skin under my eyes got stretched and caused me to have premature wrinkles. by the way, The skin around our eyes is some of the thinnest skin on our body. So if you can, never ever rub your eyes. I swear you'll regret it.

Right now my favorite concealer is the body shop's concealer pencil and I won't be without it. :)

puhleeeease, leave some suggestions especially about my under eye problem. Thanks in advance. :)

5 CUTE THINGS

I just want to share another side of me. It is my love for cute things even the word "cute" is cute for me. hahaha. It's in my system, When I was a kid I used to collect stationeries, stickers, and erasers. I always end up to the point of buying something just because it's cute or pretty even though I don't need it.  I know most us have the same way of behaving when it comes to buying the things we don't need.  It's like a good example of what our life is:  a constant battle between what we want and what is right.  I was told before that in order to control yourself from buying too much, you should ask yourself first if you need it or if you're going to use it.(sounds pretty much the same, i know.)  Well, sometimes it works but I still believe that it is not a waste of money, because the happy feeling I always get from buying those things is so worth it.  As long as you know how much budget you got and always stick to that limit.

Sorry, I have been blabbing too much, I hope that it even makes sense. Anyway, all I want to post are the "cute" things that I bought on my last trip to HK and Macau, which I have previously mentioned on this blog site.
